STITCH A SWISHY DRESS!

Easy to make, with no fiddly bits, Lotta is a perfect dressmaking project for beginners, or a satisfyingly speedy sew for more experienced stitchers. It has a blousy bodice and flared skirt, cinched in with a narrow elasticated waistline.

Choose between knee-length or midi-length skirt, with grown-on short sleeves or bracelet-length drop shoulder sleeves, with optional deep patch pockets. To make it even more versatile, you can make this dress in either woven fabric or stretchy jersey.

Lotta includes Tilly and the Buttons' award-winning beginner-friendly instructions, with colour photos showing you each step – making it easy for you to create gorgeous clothes you can be proud to say you made yourself.

SKILL LEVEL - Beginners

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS Light- to medium-weight drapey fabrics such as chambray, viscose (rayon), Tencel (lyocell), double gauze, brushed cotton or crêpe. The short sleeve version can also be made in less drapey fabrics such as linen, cotton lawn, and seersucker. More experienced? Try single knit drapey jersey, stretch velvet or light-weight French terry.

              Orders by post

              Our sewing goodies are hand-picked and packed in our South London studio by either Frances or Kate, who put lots of love and care into each precious parcel that leaves us.

              Kate and Frances will aim to get all orders packed and shipped within 3 working days.

              We are using Royal Mail who are under extreme pressure during these exceptionally busy times. Please be aware that there may be a delay with Royal Mail during this period.  We very much appreciate your patience and understanding and ask that you don’t contact us about receiving your order until 10 working days after the order was placed for the UK customers.  

              For our International Customers all orders will be sent using Royal Mail's second class service.  To Europe please allow 5 to 10 working days for arrival, to the rest of the world 7 to 12 working days. Things can take a little longer to arrive at international destinations, so please allow 30 working days after the order was placed before contacting us.

              Customers outside of Europe ordering 3 or more patterns, a signed book and/or fabric or a kit will be sent using Royal Mail's tracked service.  

              Buying Christmas Presents!?

              Buying for Christmas we recommend getting your order in as early as possible.

              We have a wonderful team of two packing your sewing goodies as safely and quickly as possible. As we will be dealing with an influx of orders, shipping is likely to take longer than usual, so please be patient. We use Royal Mail to deliver all our lovely orders and they are likely to be under even more pressure over this period, so packages are likely to see delays.

              For UK customers order your Christmas goodies before Friday 18th December 2020.

              If you want us to post to Europe then you need to get your order in before Thursday 10th December 2020.

              And for all our other lovely global customers we advise placing your Christmas orders before Wednesday 25th November 2020.
