25cm (10in) x 6-8mm (¼in) wide clear elastic, ribbon or stay tape to stabilise the shoulders
Optional: 0.5m (5/8yd) x 5mm (1/8-¼in) wide woven or braided elastic for the ruched sleeves and neckline
Ballpoint or stretch needle for your sewing machine
Sewing machine and basic tools (a rotary cutter and mat are useful)

Fabric Suggestions

Light- to medium-weight stretch knit fabrics, such as cotton jersey, viscose jersey or wool jersey. Check the fabric can be stretched crosswise at least 25% wider than its original width, and that it pings back down to size after stretching.

I would give 5 stars, since it is my absolute favorite top EVER. But somehow I cannot print in sizes (I have to print all layers together) because it is LOCKED! Maybe you can help me how to solve this problem? That is why I only gave 4 stars!

Agnes top , my first stretch fabric garment

Lovely pattern. Easy to follow. But, I’ll need to do another one as I used the wrong stretch fabric for the pattern, one that I’d bought before I ordered the pattern and bought because I liked it, so end result wasn’t as it shouldn’t have been.

Great pattern - beautiful top!

This is my first pattern for adults I’ve used for jersey fabric. I was nervous but it was so easy to follow, straightforward and the results were fab! I do need more practice especially with the neckline as it stretched out of shape a bit.

Love the Agnes!

I love TATB patterns in general - they are chic (particularly the older ones that have a vintage vibe), and the instructions are faultless. I have made into the teens of Agnes tops in various plains and prints - I love the pattern, particularly the cut puff sleeve version - it's my go-to pattern if I need a knit top.

Fun, lovely and easy!

In my opinion, the patterns from Tilly and the Buttons are the best. They are easy to follow, yet lovely and fun to sew. Tilly's videos are extremely clear and straightforward. Honestly, this brand is my favorite!
