Cute and attainable.

I’ve been sewing for only a year and was looking at trying some skirts and dresses. This book was pretty easy to understand and the first pattern I tried turned out great! I even added pockets!

Excellent learning tool

As an intermediate sewist, I now recommend this book to many that want to learn how to sew. The classic styles may be slightly out dated to some but the techniques in this book will help you move on to other patterns with minimal instructions.. Tilly and the Buttons Blog is also an excellent resource.

Would highly recommend!

Wabted to learn to sew after recently acquiring a sewing machine but was so put off by complicated patterns. This book was really helpful and clear and informative and great value with the patterns... i have all 3 of tillys books now and have managed the Safiya trousers :) and just completed my first ever skirt (granted ive made a fair few mostakes with this one) but learned a lot. Thankyou!! Toying now with taking advantage of the sale and purchasing some beginner patterns x
