The finished product made with this pattern looks nice, it’s easy enough to follow and doesn’t require a lot of fabric, though the seam allowance for the actual final sewing (the step where you sew the two sides of the collar together with the ties inside) is missing, or maybe it’s implied it’s also 1,5 cm like the stitch line for the ruffles, but since it’s not written in the pattern it confused me (beginner sewist) and made me make a mistake. My ties aren’t flexible enough because the fabric I chose is not thin enough, so for the next one I may use a ribbon. I made one without frills, very colorful, and I have another one with frills on the way, also very colorful. It’s a great way to personalize my outfit.
Very easy pattern to follow, pretty straight forward! Mine came out bigger than the picture, not sure why but either way it’s very pretty!
And the fact that it was free made it amazing!
I made it to go with a 1920s themed party, everyone was wearing flapper dresses but my 13 year old isn’t quite old enough for that! So the collar went spectacularly with the dress I also made!
Quick easy download. Great for beginners. Video instruction. All great. Thank you!
This collar sews together quickly and looks fabulous. Great way to expand your wardrobe and add a polished layer to your outfit. I love it and have made several. Don't be afraid to try this. I would suggest making the bottom layer just slightly smaller than top layer so it rolls slightly underneath or clip close to sewam after you sew. Use the fancy fabric you have been saving!
