Delivery + Returns

All our sewing goodies are sent from our South London studio by Marcela, who puts lots of love and care into packing all of your lovely orders.

We aim to get all orders packed and shipped within 3 working days – this may increase to 5 working days at busy times like pattern launch or sales.

Here you’ll find our shipping prices and info, plus what to do if there’s a problem with your purchase.

Physical products

UK DELIVERY

Delivery of patterns is just £2 – no matter how many you order!

Orders are sent via Royal Mail second class. Allow 2 to 4 working days for arrival.

Patterns : £2.00

1 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £3.00

2 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £5.00

3 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £8.00

Orders of one or more books are sent out in separate packages to keep the shipping price as low as possible.

In normal circumstances, we expect packages to arrive with you 2-4 working days after it is shipped.

If your order still hasn’t arrived, there may be other issues impacting Royal Mail delivery services. Please allow 10 working days before contacting us about your order.

DELIVERY TO EUROPE

Orders are sent via Royal Mail. Allow 5 to 10 working days for arrival.

1 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £10.00
2 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £19.00
3 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £29.00

Orders of one or more books are sent out in separate packages to keep the shipping price as low as possible.

As of 1st July 2021, your orders will now be subject to VAT, formal clearance and customs clearance fees by the receiving country. Orders over €150 may also incur customs duties. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.

The levels and thresholds vary from country to country - please contact the customs office in your country if you'd like to know more.

Royal Mail have been advised by Poste Italiane that severe delays are still being experienced in processing postal items due to serious IT problems in Italian customs. their recommendation is to temporarily stop posting items to Italy. We are monitoring their advice daily and will lift the restoration as soon as the delays have reduced.

In normal circumstances, we expect packages to arrive with you 5-10 working days after it is shipped.

If your order still hasn’t arrived, there may be other issues impacting European delivery services. Please allow 30 working days before contacting us about your order.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY (outside Europe)

Orders are sent via Royal Mail. Allow 7 to 12 working days for arrival.

1 - 2 patterns £6.00
3 or more patterns £19.00 (tracked)
1 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £25.00 (tracked)
2 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £50.00 (tracked)
3 signed book and / or fabric with any number of patterns £75.00 (tracked)

Orders of 3 or more patterns, a signed book and/or fabric or a kit will be sent using Royal Mail's tracked service.

If your country imposes customs duties, import tax or other fees at the border, these are the responsibility of the customer. Please contact your country’s customs office if you need to know more.

In normal circumstances, we expect packages to arrive with you 7-12 working days after it is shipped.

If your order still hasn’t arrived, there may be other issues impacting international delivery services. Please allow 30 working days before contacting us about your order.

Paypal orders

If you plan to pay with a PayPal account, please double check your PayPal details are correct before ordering.

Orders placed with PayPal will be sent to the delivery or email address linked to your PayPal account – it’s your responsibility to make sure this information is correct.

Digital products

PDF PATTERN DELIVERY

PDF patterns are available to download and print straight away 🙌

Check out our helpful guide to get started with PDF patterns – it’s easier than you think!

Your PDF patterns will be emailed to you as soon as you complete your order – ready for you to print at home (or use the copyshop files for professional printing).

You can also download your pattern files on the order confirmation page, and from the order history section on your user account – we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible to download your digital goodies!

Yes! If you’re a fan of our PDF patterns (who can blame you, they’re great!), create a user account to log in and download your PDF patterns. You will also be given the option to create an account at checkout.

Click the order number to view and download the patterns made during that purchase. (It’s a useful backup if you haven’t backed up your computer in a while and accidentally spill coffee on your laptop – yikes! 😱)

We recommend using Adobe Readerto open the pattern and print it to the correct scale (it's free to download).

ONLINE WORKSHOPS

You can access online workshops straight away!

Your workshop login details should be emailed to you as soon as you complete your order – ready for you to start learning a new sewing skill straight away! This email is separate from the Order Confirmation email.

You can download the workshop pattern files and other resources when you log in to the workshop.

You will receive an email confirming your login details and a link to the workshop when you complete your order. Just follow the instructions in the email to get started!

It may take up to ten minutes to receive the email, while our systems speak to eachother.

If you still don't receive the email, it’s possible your order email is in your junk folder or filtered out as spam, so if you can't find your order please check there first.

Returns

We hope that you love your items as much as we do, but if you’re unhappy with your order for any reason, please read through our returns policy.

We will exchange or refund printed patterns, books, or sewing kits returned to us unopened, unused and in the same condition in which they were received, accompanied by proof of purchase.

You must return the product to us within 14 days of purchase.

If the product you ordered was faulty, you have the right to return it within 30 days for a full refund or replacement.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer returns on cut fabric, ribbon, elastic or other supplies which are cut to order, unless it is faulty.

Due to the instant nature of our digital products, the right to return is limited so please review product information carefully before purchasing.

If you have changed your mind or would like to return a digital product for another reason, you must make your request within 14 days of purchase. Refunds or exchanges will only be offered if we can see that you have not started to download the product, or have not signed in to the online workshop.

The process of downloading a digital order is started when you click on the download link or log in to the workshop, regardless of whether or not you have opened the downloaded files. We reserve the right to refuse any refunds on non-faulty products where we can see that the digital product has been accessed.

If there is a fault with the digital product, you have the right to request a repair or replacement. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we may offer you a full or part refund.

To return a product, please download and complete our Cancellation Form and return as follows:

Physical returns


Print the cancellation form and post to us along with the items you wish to return, in its original packaging.
The postage fees are non-refundable unless there is a product fault or error on our part.

If you can provide proof of postage by email, we may issue a refund before the returned items are received. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in transit.

Digital returns

Email the cancellation form to hello@tillyandthebuttons.com.
Unless there is a product fault or error on our part, we will review the access data of your digital product before confirming whether you are eligible for a refund or exchange.

Refunds will be issued via the original method. After a refund is authorised, it may take 7-10 working days to show in your account.

Please allow 10 working days before contacting us about your refund.
