This easy-peasy throw-it-over-your-head dress will make you feel stylish and comfortable throughout your pregnancy. The button front version is also perfect for breastfeeding once baby has arrived.

Simple to sew, Bettine has a blousy bodice with scoop neckline, grown-on sleeves, turn-up cuffs, optional cuff tabs and knee-length skirt. The narrow elasticated empire waist channel sits above the bump, and can be defined further with the optional waist tie. Make it in woven fabric with a neckline facing, or make the plain version in stretchy jersey with a neckband for ultimate comfort.

Bettine maternity dress

Printed off the PDF at home. Just wish it had page numbers as I needed to print of certain pages again and had to search by the triangle reference numbers. Very good, detailed, easy to follow instructions. I did use a cotton fabric so made the button front version in a size 10. It turned out really well. The top was great and had room for further growth but the skirt was narrow and will only last few more weeks. I am making again in a stretch fabric and will make the skirt two sizes bigger. Still it will be a nice dress for after baby is born.

Hi Angela, thank you for your review! I'm so glad to hear that you found the instructions easy to follow. We're working on adding page numbers to new A4 patterns and updating existing ones, but as a small team of three, it might take some time. I hope your new dress turns out great! Happy stitching! Quick easy make

The pattern is lovely and the instructions easy to follow. Only downside is it is already very snug across the bump with still 12 weeks to go. Tilly provided some tips by email on how to add space to bump, but yet to try out.
