GET INSPIRED #SewingMabel
I’ve made two Mabel dresses: one in cotton lawn with an added gathered tier to make maxi length, and one in double gauze with added seam pockets (from TATB Skye dress) and the flutter sleeve hack from Joni in the TATB Stretch book. I love them both and the instructions (as always for TATB) are clear, easy to follow and true to size. I love this pattern. Will be making a top soon. Tilly’s shirring instructions are spot on and the dresses are so comfy and flattering.
I am looking forward to sewing this item. I have a few projects to finish first.
I love Tilly and the buttons patterns because they seem to be the only patterns that actually fit when you pick your size.
Most other patterns have to be adjusted.
Hopefully once made I will post a photo.
Enjoy if you have bought one.
Hi Yvonne, thank you so much for your lovely review! I'm so happy to hear that our pattern sizes match yours. It’s always great when you don’t have to make too many adjustments with a new pattern. I can’t wait to see your Mabel! :) Virginija x
Just finished my first Mabel, it’s really different to anything I’ve made before. Love the shirring and tie front, a refreshing change from buttons or zips. Perfect instructions as always with Tilly! Will absolutely not be my last.
Very clear instructions, easy to adapt, fit as size good
