GET INSPIRED #SewingCoco
I have made 5 versions of this dress now. It's incredibly easy and looks good with minimal fitting. Its easy to alter too, I've made it with a slightly scooped neckline, altered the length and the sleeve length, made a costume for a 70's party, a beach cover up, and a little black dress that was flat fabric at 4pm and a dress on my back in a restaurant at 7:30pm the same evening (I'd fit in shower, hair and make up in that time too!).
Another great pattern from TATB! This one I found a little harder to follow as the fabric used in the photos didn't have a clear right vs wrong side, but with a little re-reading, we got there! I've made this twice in ponte de roma and it looks great!
The pattern was lovely, but not for me, so I donated it to a Cancer Ctr where they collect and sell of patterns and other sewing products.
I gave it a 5 star but did not make it because the style for me was not right, so I donated it to a cancern fund center where they collect fabric and patterns. But thank you...It was lovely, but not for me.
This was a really easy make and was equally easy to alter to fit my straighter body type than the pattern envisioned. I took out the curves over the hip, made it shorter and got rid of the side slits and am very happy with it.
Hi Caroline, thanks so much for your review! It’s great to hear that you used the pattern as a template and made it your own. Hope you whip up many more Coco tops or dresses! :) Happy sewing! Virginija
