Lovely pattern. Easy to follow. But, I’ll need to do another one as I used the wrong stretch fabric for the pattern, one that I’d bought before I ordered the pattern and bought because I liked it, so end result wasn’t as it shouldn’t have been.
Hi Teresa, thanks for the review! I'm so glad you liked the Agnes top pattern and found it easy to follow. Hopefully, your next one will turn out just as you imagined with the right fabric! Happy sewing! Virginija x
This is my first pattern for adults I’ve used for jersey fabric. I was nervous but it was so easy to follow, straightforward and the results were fab! I do need more practice especially with the neckline as it stretched out of shape a bit.
Hi Rebecca, thank you so much for your lovely review! 😊 I'm so glad to hear the pattern was easy to follow and that the results were fabulous! Don’t worry about the neckline – practice makes perfect! Keep sewing, and you’ll be a pro in no time! Virginija x
I love TATB patterns in general - they are chic (particularly the older ones that have a vintage vibe), and the instructions are faultless. I have made into the teens of Agnes tops in various plains and prints - I love the pattern, particularly the cut puff sleeve version - it's my go-to pattern if I need a knit top.
In my opinion, the patterns from Tilly and the Buttons are the best. They are easy to follow, yet lovely and fun to sew. Tilly's videos are extremely clear and straightforward. Honestly, this brand is my favorite!
love the shape and versatility of this pattern. I made the long ruche-sleeve version in a fun spacey print that was probably meant for toddler's pajamas. I had a massive overlocker fail (i am a newbie and managed to chew a huge hole in the top of the back bodice when I was sewing the sleeve in) but I did a nice visible mend and have worn the top non-stop ever since. The instructions are really clear and love that there are photos, which I can blow up on my phone screen to really see whats going on.
I plan to make this again and again - prints and plain - there is even a simple dress hack!
It would also be a fun one to make as a mini-me for me and the kid, if I could figure out how to scale it down for girl's size.
