GET INSPIRED #SewingRamona
Easy to follow instructions and really appreciated the video tutorial on the invisible zip. Pattern measurements were spot on and didn't need any adjustments. I made the mini version with corduroy - ideal for me as a beginner.
I have just finished this skirt and am very pleased with it. I made it out of a navy mini check canvas and lined with a navy polycotton fabric. It was a joy to do from start to finish. I made the knee length version and will wear it with my knee length boots soon. I am extremely pleased with finished product.
I’m a beginner and found this pattern easy to construct. By using the additional tutorial's for invisible zip, I made two skirts in one week
Just finished sewing this up for my friend. She’s quite tall, so I had to add several centimetres in length, but it fits her like a glove! I made it in a greyish navy blue corduroy, and even though I ended up breaking the first zip, which meant a couple of days’ delay until I could get a new one, it meant I had mastered getting it in properly, and I had no problems at all the second time around. I either had the waistband twisted or the zip itself twisted the first time, and had to take the stitches out a couple of times, which the teeth didn’t much like. So I resorted to the way my mother taught me and sewed the side seam most of the way up before putting it in, and then there was no way for things to get twisted anymore. Anyways, we’re both really happy with the result, and I look forward to seeing this again in a lighter fabric for spring!
