GET INSPIRED #SewingDrew
Loved making this sweater. I'm a beginner and found it very easy. Took it slowly and it worked out great. The instruction booklet was the best I've seen, colour pictures and really clear instructions. Will definitely be making more of them with different colour blocks. Thanks for a lovely pattern

I love this pattern. I have made several and everyone as comfy as the last one. Totally recommended.

This is the first sweatshirt I've made entirely on my overlocker! I was amazed how quickly and easily it came together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had to add a little extra length to the body and sleeves -( I'm 5'8".) I went with a two-tone cropped variation and it has a lot of impact - I love it!
Thank you for your lovely review, Elaine! I’m so excited to hear that this was your first sweatshirt made entirely on the overlocker - well done! Happy sewing! 😊 Virginija x
Helped my 12-year-old niece sew up the Drew Sweatshirt over the Christmas holidays. Her first TATB pattern and size 0 fitted her perfectly (she was so happy to finally fit into one of my TATB patterns!) This was a great beginner pattern for my niece; she sewed all the seams (apart from the neck and cuffs which I did) on a regular sewing machine. We loved designing the colour-block together which made this sweatshirt more inspiring and fun! We initially thought there was a band of fabric across the shoulder for a pop of colour, but in fact this is the back shoulder piece showing on the product photos. The instructions were easy to follow and extremely well-described with colour photos for each step. The raglan sleeves were easy for my niece to sew and were a welcome change from set-in-sleeves. The only trouble we encountered was getting the correct size for the neckline and bottom body band, but this was because we wanted to use the same fabric as the arm bands which wasn't very stretchy (the pattern recommends ribbing which is much more stretchy). We made the neckband longer and my niece kept trying it on over her head and sewing it shorter each time before I attached it to the body. Would thoroughly recommend this pattern; both my niece and I agree!
Hi Lianne, thank you so much for your wonderful review! I absolutely love hearing about your niece’s first TATB pattern – how exciting! I’m so glad the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The raglan sleeves are definitely a great choice for beginners, and it’s amazing how you adjusted the neckband so thoughtfully with her trying it on – what a great team effort! Thank you for sharing your experience, and happy sewing to both of you! Virginija x
