Due to the fact I have never made an item of clothing in my life I thought I'd start with these shorts.
I just cut up an old pair of curtains as I was not confident. And made them a size or 2 bigger than needed. But wish I'd made them properly now. And the size increase wasn't necessary.
The instruction were so easy to follow, and the little bits I did get stuck on, it was easy to find the solution using the you tube video that goes with the pattern.
But as they are PJ'S, doesn't matter what they look like. And I'm very pleased with my 1st attempt. Even with a few little mistakes on my part.
I can't wait to try another pattern now. And I've made my 1st ever item of clothing. It can only get better from here.

Tilly’s patterns are very well laid out for first time sewists. The pattern is very easy to follow and the instruction booklet is very clear. The size range is very inclusive. I looked at other patterns online and Tilly’s was the best.

As always Tilly’s patterns are easy to follow and well explained. Quick and easy make as a Christmas present.

Bought it for a sewing course first project and breezed through it, super easy instructions to follow and very detailed! Made shorts to start with and added pockets (from the pattern on this website), will be making a ton of trousers for this winter! (may even gift some :D)
