Welcome to our festive FAQ page where we'll aim to answer all your questions when it comes to shopping at Tilly and the Buttons during this busy shopping season.
Please be aware we are working with a limited team in the studio, who will endeavour to get all your sewing goodies to you on time, but some circumstances are beyond our control. We recommend ordering in plenty of time if you're shopping for gifts, especially during busy shopping periods like Black Friday & Christmas.

Christmas break:

Team Buttons will be taking a well deserved rest over the festive period. If you send us an email (or direct message on social media), please be aware from Friday 24th December to Monday 3rd January we will be out of office.

All orders placed by the 21st December will be shipped out before the team goes on winter break.  Orders placed from the 22nd December will be shipped the week the team returns in January 2022.

Responses will resume from Tuesday January 4th 2022. Thank you for you patience and please see our general FAQs page as it might answer your question sooner! 

Christmas delivery dates:

To receive your order in time for Christmas please make note of the following shipping deadlines as advised by Royal Mail:

Deadline to ship orders to USA and Canada: Monday 1st November

Deadline to ship orders to Europe: Friday 26th November

Deadline to ship orders to UK: Friday 10th December

Anywhere not listed above Royal Mail advises ordering by 15th October.

Please be aware that ongoing Covid restrictions, reduced air and freight capacity, high volumes and winter weather conditions are all impacting transportation and local delivery across the globe which may impact your order.

Gift Notes:

NEW FOR 2021 - you can now leave a gift note with your order! Perfect for sending pressies directly to your sewing pals!

In your cart (not at the checkout), you'll notice a box where you can leave a comment. We'll spot your note when we receive your order, we'll then print it out and stick it on one of our lovely postcards to pop inside your order at no extra cost.

Please note this option is only available for physical orders, and not PDF or digital orders.

If you want to send a PDF sewing pattern as a gift, we recommend ordering as yourself then forwarding over the separate PDF pattern email you'll receive after your order confirmation email, that way they won't see the invoice and you can add your own message with the email.

 

Digital E-Gift Cards:

Our digital E-Gift Cards are available in amounts from £10 up to £250 and have no delivery fees. They are delivered by email and contain instructions for how to redeem them at checkout.

They CAN be used towards an online workshop. Just purchase the corresponding amount (e.g. £59) from the drop down list, and then if you or your lovely friend drops us an email at hello@tillyandthebuttons.com, we'll sort it out pronto!

Physical Gift Cards:

NEW FOR 2021 - our specially designed Tilly and the Buttons gift cards are perfect for popping into your Christmas cards or sending to your pals if you don't know which of our sewing patterns they already own.

These gift cards will be sent to your chosen shipping address in a sealed lilac envelope, within our usual hardy recyclable packaging, to make sure they arrive as cute as can be. 

They CAN be used towards an online workshop. Just purchase the corresponding amount (e.g. £59) from the drop down list.
