I loved making this. The pattern is really straightforward and well explained and the results are beautiful.
Whoop thanks so much for sharing your Esti make with us Eve x
So far I’ve made the waist length top & I love it. The pattern was easy to follow. Next time I’ll lengthen the straps slightly and I’ll have a go at the shorts & trousers 👍.
Yay, thank you Lisa x
I found the pattern good I had to move the straps a little nearer the armhole but that was the only adjustment I made being 75 I found it didn't look like mutton dressed like lamb which I found a lot of patterns do
Thank you Celia for sharing your Esti comments, much appreciated x
Love this! As is usual for Tilly’s patterns it is detailed both with written instructions and the step by step photos.
I have made a toile out of a duvet cover -as I am a beginner - However I have been so pleased with it that I have been wearing both the top and bottoms as seperates. My next make will be in a drapery fabric to fake a jumpsuit!😍
Amazing Jenny, and a great idea to use old duvet covers for toiling, that's a top tip!. Team Buttons x
I have made 2 Esti tops and one of the coordinating trousers so far. I enjoyed the process of sewing, and I find the top flattering and practical to wear, because it has wide enough straps to hide the bra straps and has a nice rectangular neck line to hide cleavage and the back of the bra, which I find is rare in other other sleeveless top patterns.
I have made one of the tops in cotton poplin, for a more structured look, and one of the tops in viscose challis, for a more drapey look and fit. It is easy to extend the length of the bodice if desired.
The trousers are simple to put together and did not take long to make.
In all, I'll be making more before the summer is over. Instructions were helpful, as always.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us Emma, so pleased you're a fan of the Esti co-ord. Team Buttons x
