I have lost count of how many I have made, chose your fabric to suit the occasion, casual or formal, the options only end with your imagination, as far as instructions go, Tilly and the Buttons have the best , why pay hundreds when you can make it yourself at a fraction , i love nothing more than someone saying " i love your dress" and i get to respond with "thank you i made it myself" #1 aussie fan

One of my all time favourites

This an excellent pattern for beginners wanting to upskill as the instructions are excellent. The fit is flowy but you can make it more fitted by using the tie belt. It is also the most comfortable dress I have made. I have made three already and have another two planned. I used cotton poplin and it worked really well as it is lovely and crisp and makes the shirt part of the dress look beautifully tailored. I found that adding more buttons to the shirt helped with my fuller bust. Great pattern!!

Loving Lyra

I have just started on my project ...I am attending a class as it is some years since I have made an actual garment 😃. I am so excited to get going and have chosen dark green needlecord...the class teacher had someone in her previous class who made one and it was a great success...also using needlecord .
I am planning on using your tutorials to help me keep on track from week to week .

Beautiful dress and great pattern instructions

I'm fairly new to dressmaking and have only been sewing since January. I've been working my way through TATB patterns and found this one to be a nice stretch challenge for me with some new skills to try (button placket, collar).
As always, the instructions and pics guide you through it every step of the way and I had no issues.
I made a floaty viscose midi but hope to make a knee length corduroy one next to wear with tights.

Fantastic pattern - tried and true

I have made 4 Lyras so far and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. A great pattern that goes together easily. Even though I already have a few of these they all look different - different length, different fabric etc I do a 1 inch FBA for my DD cup and that is the only adjustment I make. Really a timeless pattern that you will use time and time again.
